Update:Ok I was wrong. After a lot of talking to others someone figured how to get the plastic stopper out. She was able to find a tool. I came in one day and the ball was fully blown up. I apparently didn't blow it all the way up. I sit on it frequently now and I'm able to stretch my back. I have updated the stars and admit I was wrong. It is a good ball.I got a very small ball. The box says large 65 and that’s what I ordered. I have another of the size I ordered but this is way smaller. I can’t use it as my knees are in my chest. I can’t get the plug out either to deflate it. So I can’t return it. The ball itself is of good quality. But even the tape that came with it is larger. I can’t get anymore air in it. Not at all happy.

The ball inflated to the size as it advertised and everything is good. However, there's a strong plastic-y smell that seem like it won't go away. It's has been more than two weeks now since I got the ball. I opened the window and let it air out for a couple of days but the smell still lingers. I'm a bit worried whether if the fume is toxic since I'm pregnant. Probably will return it if the smell persist for another week.Update: now it has been almost been 6 months since I got the ball. The smell was totally dissipated. The smell was actually totally gone around the third month. I added an star to the rating because the ball is still in a good shape; didn’t lose any air or deflated. However, be careful where you’ll leave your ball during the peak of summer time, mine rubbed off some of my wall paint during the hottest summer days.

The ring arrived with a spilt in the seam and it won’t hold air. I contacted their customer support and they sent a new one! This is a sturdy ball and feels like it will hold up to exercising, but it’s not big enough to be a desk chair as it mentions. I’m 5’8†and this isn’t big enough for me sit on at a low desk, but it does fit under my desk nicely. The ring is nice and the exercise pulleys— the exercise given by them is also questionable tho. I thought it would be more effective.

Jist if this review is product is ok but don’t expect it to last!When I received this ball 7 months ago I noticed right away it was a different texture from the picture. It is not shiny and smooth, but rather a rough texture. This didn’t bother me so I just kept it. The base was awesome at first for keeping the ball in place so it didn’t roll around my office. However, I noticed the base won’t stay inflated so I stopped using that awhile ago (filled it up 4 times and gave up). The resistance bands with handles didn’t work well with the base so i gave up on those after trying them once.Today the ball spontaneously developed a hole, so it’s totally useless. There are absolutely no sharp edges or objects anywhere near it.I think the texture of the ball contributed to it getting worn and creating this cut in the ball somehow. Not sure but the texture has gotten more rough.The included pump is more fragile than you may think and I recommend using your hands to pump it rather than your foot. It’s easy to misstep on the pump with your foot and bend it out of shape.Basically, unfortunately, I think all aspects of this product are low quality.

Ball works, seems to be holding the air just fine but the pump broke after first use. Had to piece it back together and then it broke a second time. Thankfully I managed to pump up the ball but the pump quality is disappointing. Will likely have to get an alternative solution if I ever decide I want to pump it up more in the future.

So many of the other product reviews mentioned difficulty inflating whether by a foot pump of a hand held as is included herein. I had NONE OF THOSE DIFFICULTIES. I pulled the two pieces out, let them warm up a couple of hours, then inflated them at least partially. I have already bounced in place on the Ball, and it's just great. I'm short so even tho it's not fully inflated to the instruction size, it's working fine. I will do the deflate/reinflate tomorrow. But I am so happy with this. I pulled my hip flexor and all my thigh muscles have gone to pot, and so I look forward to this gentle stretching to start rebuilding. Thank you, Gaiam.

I purchased the Gaiam Balance Ball & Base Kit specifically because it comes with an inflatable ring base, which adds stability and prevents the ball from rolling away—a great feature. The quality is excellent, and the size (65cm) is exactly as described.Inflation is a two-step process: pump the ball to 80% on the first day, deflate it slightly the next day, and then fully inflate it to its intended size. This was easy to follow, and the ball feels perfectly firm and sturdy now.I originally bought this as a birth ball for pregnancy, but I can see myself using it afterward for exercise or even as a chair. It holds up well even when bouncing on it, which is reassuring.My only minor disappointments are that I missed a discount shortly after purchasing and that it’s not available in black (a color I would have preferred). However, these are small points compared to how well the ball performs.Overall, it’s a nice product that meets my expectations! Highly recommended.

Purchase for my wife who is very happy with it and uses it pretty much four times a week. At first I pumped it up to close to the 65cm size but it was too firm for my wife so dropped the pressure to suite her style of workout. Happy days.
