Gives a soft cozy feel to the fireplace while making it kid safe more. Functional and good length. The look and color is laid back cozy. It is soft to the touch and feels like memory foam.

This was much longer then I expected and did not fit our space as I was afraid of cutting it however it does provide quite a bit of cushion and I would recommend using it if you have no space restriction. we have bookcases on either side of the fireplace and if I cut this it looks like it will not hold up to toddler ware and tear.

So far we love it! We wanted something that would stay in place and baby wouldn’t be able to just pull off. PLUS it looks very nice as well!

Love how cute and soft it is. Came with “tape†and had to try to find other tape to stick. Nothing worked. foam is thick. Overall nice but trying to adhere to front of a fireplace, to cover the edge; good luck.

This Memory Foam Fireplace Baby Proofing cover is an affordable option, but there are a few important things to consider before deciding if it's right for your needs. While it’s advertised as BPA-free, my product didn’t come with a label or mention of any certification, such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which is something I would have liked to see, especially if it’s being used around children or on the ground where they crawl. Additionally, the absence of a fire-retardant feature is a concern, given that it's advertised for use on a fireplace or hearth.In terms of functionality, the cover does provide some insulation, but I personally feel that the 0.6 foam filling could be thicker, particularly when it's meant to protect against the hardness of fireplace bricks or other hard surfaces. Another thing to note is that this item isn't designed to be cut to size. It drapes over the fireplace, but you’ll need a surface long enough to accommodate its full length.When it arrived, the cover was folded and vacuum packed, which meant it took a few days for it to fully expand and for the fold lines to smooth out. After a week, most of the creases have disappeared, except for a faint fold line down the center. On the plus side, there was no chemical smell, which is always a positive when dealing with baby-proofing products.Overall, for the price, this is a decent product. While it’s not perfect, it does the job of adding a layer of protection, though there are some areas where it could be improved.

This memory foam mat has a super soft, velvety top with rubber grips on the bottom to prevent slippage (as well as an adhesive strip to use if needed). It has the same feel and look as a plush bath mat. The cushion is comfortable to sit on and can protect the corner of the hearth if it's narrow enough to wrap around the edge. The mat is very long and narrow (90"x14") so be sure to carefully measure your fireplace before purchasing since the mat can't be cut to size. Since this mat doesn't have a removable cover it is probably best to be used with a gas fireplace because I would think soot and smoke could ruin it. Overall this is nice for the price, and while it would be nice to be able to adjust the length I understand why you can't.
