It would also be great as an outer layer if it is colder outside, as it runs a little big and allows space for you to wear warm weather gear underneath. If you’re looking for a lightweight jacket that keeps you dry even in the heaviest of rains, this jacket is for you!EvaluationOne of the most important criteria to have in a rain jacket is its ability to keep water out. I have worn this jacket outside in the rain for hours and I stayed dry the entire time, and so will you! Some jackets say that they are water resistant or water proof, but you still end up getting wet while wearing it. This jacket keeps its promise and is 100% water proof. The other criteria that I was looking for was its durability and if you are able to be active while wearing it. I purchased this jacket about 5 months ago and I have seen absolutely no wear on it. It still looks brand new. I was also very pleased with my ability to be active in it. I was able to move my arms and my body without any resistance from the jacket. Because it fits somewhat like a poncho, it is not constricting at all. With that being said, it is also not too loose-fitting, as you can tighten it at the waist and at the end of the sleeves.ConclusionOverall, I really enjoyed this jacket and am very happy with my purchase. This jacket was inexpensive and provided me with great coverage from the rain. It is durable and allows you to be active without any constraints. If you are an active individual needing a durable lightweight jacket, this is a must-buy!

The pros ;Keeps the rain out, even in heavy down pours.Materials seem quite durable.Light weight. Compact.Elastic wrist cuffs. Large pockets with zippers.Hood permanently attached. No snap on garbage to come off or leak water on your neck.The cons;Material feels like I'm putting on a garbage bag. Once on it's fine and a small price to pay for keeping dry.Need a long sleeve shirt under to be comfortable.Makes a fair amount of noise when you move.Final thoughts;Rain wear is going to be plastic like and/or stiff materials. Can't really complain much about this jacket. It does what is supposed to do ... keep you dry. If you sweat in it you going to get some dampness. However, even though it's a pull over it has a zipper from chin to midchest to vent moisture and I have not had a problem with sweat , even working while wearing it. My wife works for Amazon flex delivering packages and borrowed this jacket for use in heavy all day/night rain. It kept her dry all shift. She was very impressed and wants one of her own. The more it gets worn the better it feels. There is definitely a break in period, just like shoes. I recommend waiting to return it if you don't like it. The jacket took about 3 days of use to break in. Just be patient with it. Most all rain gear is uncomfortable. This is one of the better ones I've worn for sure.

note that the description says that it is a pullover. that means that it does not have a full length zipper. a full length zipper can be a source of water leakage in a driving rain storm. there is no lining; you may want to order a larger size so you can comfortably wear something bulky, like a sweatshirt.it is definitely water proof but it does not "breathe". in other words, body moisture will accumulate. if you think you will be exerting yourself, a poncho could be a better choice. a rain hat with a brim or a baseball cap under the hood may be needed to keep rain (or snow) out of your eyes.

I purchased this product with the intent of it serving as the outer shell for a 5.5k run on a chilly / rainy New England day in December. While there was an existing light rain from the start which eventually morphed into steady rain this jacket did provide excellent protection. The straps, zippers, and pull cords all function to create an ideal customizable fit. All of the seams appear reinforced for added protection against water. Thus far this seems like the ideal running shell but the following issues I would be happy to award 5 stars:A. Included are (3) zipped pockets - only two of my zippers actually operateB. Absolutely no ventilation anywhere - a major no no unless your looking for a sweatsuit!3 Stars it is.Use is as a light rain parka on your trips to the grocery store!

** IMPORTANT ** There seems to be two different styles mentioned in the review. I ordered the XXL Navy Blue jacket in June 2020 and I received a jacket with a 1/3 zipper and no hood pouch. The other jacket appears to have a full zipper and hood pouch. No sure why the reviews are mixing.** Review **I bought this jacket to live in my golf bag and hopefully never need it. However, within a month I had to pull it out. I was a little wet before I put the jacket on and I cannot say it's completely water proof but when the rain stopped my shorts were soaked and my shirt was not. There are not any air vents in the jacket but I was comfortable in 80-85 degree overcast weather. I'm a XXL and sometimes even those are a little tight, this XXL jacket fit perfectly. This is a GREAT emergency type jacket. Like I said, this one will stay in my golf bag but I will get another for my truck. It folds/packs up small enough to stick anywhere and works really well for its purpose.

Very lightweight packable waterproof jacket. I wanted to find a light outer layer for hiking that would fit in my pack. This is perfect. Great for wind and rain. The rear pocket is roomy. Very waterproof and will seal in perspiration so needs to be dried before packing it back up. Keeps you very warm though. I wear over down vest and it's the only layer I need for most summer hikes. I am tall and thin and this fits perfect. The sleeves are long enough, which is typically what I have trouble with. Good shape to the hood as well.

I think this is a great stylish and practical product. I wore it in the rain and it kept me warm and dry. My purchase is light blue and it coordinates well with my clothing. The rear pocket is very handy for light articles and it has two deep side pockets. Mine is true to size as advertised and covers my hips.The rear pocket can be used to store the fold-away jacket.
