The design of the cups or recipients is beautiful. The mate is good quality so you have to use just a little bit every time. It is better with sugar or honey and mint. I am glad I bought it. I gave one to my son and the half of the mate package.

This is a gross product. Poorly made. The inside of the coconuts have a disgusting brown slime that just doesn't come out. Smells chemically. Never allowed my son to drink out of it. Straws were cheap and the mate came threw the straw. Horrible and I can't even return it to get money back. Don't buy

The mates are excellent quality and come with best practice instructions for curing and cleaning. The travel pack of yerba is the perfect amount to cure both mates. The bombillas and cleaning tools work perfectly and are easy to clean. I recommend their online kiosko for additional goodies.If you're new to mate/yerba I recommend getting an electric kettle and sealable thermos to heat and store the water quickly.Packages from both Amazon and retailer arrived on time and intact, which is a feat considering the distance they travel. If only they sold the fruit packets for tereré.

I’ve had these cups for just over a year, and they’ve recently started leaking, which is unfortunate but probably expected given that they’re made from gourd. They’re super cute, though.

Hit all the expectations I had for it and was a good purpose. Just wish it had more actual mate with it. Probably just cause I went through it to quick lol.

As someone who works with a lot of argentine's who drink an extensive amount of Maté... This is really not the greatest value for your money.The gourds are two different sizes, which I think is somewhat understandable, given the fact that they are natural gourds...HOWEVER, they are far too big and any argentino will tell you that the gourds are too big to drink out of because they require too much yerba.Realistically, even with the smallest gourd you would have to share and drink it quickly or it would ruin the taste of the Yerba.Overall, a great idea and an earnest attempt at trying to bring the tradition of maté to the mainstream, Western market... But it falls short of its attempt.Most people in Argentina use smaller gourds, silicone, metal and leather or a similar product that cost less than this product does, works better and preserves the flavor far better than these gourds do.Also, the metal band around the top of the cord causes it to leak if you turn it upside down, something that is mandatory for removing the spent yerba.Hope this helps

If it was for me No star. The cup is made out of cardboard and was damaged. Unable to return item even after 5 days and never used

I highly recommend this as a gift. I've given it to several people and they just love it! It looks great and the fact it comes with a starter pack is even better!

There are two gourds in this purchase. One of them (wood) was clean, functional, and beautiful. The other (dark) had tiny cracks near the rims, stretching down from the metal crowning. Though the shape is holding, water leaks through the cracks.They deliver the 'natural' part of their promise, where the gourd is an actual plant product with unique shapes sizes, but fail to provide their promise of functionality. Out of the two, only one gourd is fully functional.The seller would get better reviews and happier customers if they strengthened their product quality-checks. My darker gourd (which I sadly like more than my woody one) won't last long. After a couple of uses, I think it's going to lose integrity and its function.
