Excellent quality. This dial gauge tip with roller ball fits a Starrett dial indicator with a #4 x 48 tpi thread.

The carbide balls roll smoothly and the 4-48 threads fit properly. No complaints.

I use an indicator all day long. I noticed a lot of bouncing. I installed these and it went away. Please note..not sure if it was a cheap indicator but these did not fit... they only fit in newer name brand ones. I'm sure there is something going on so not going to take away a star for that. Overall, great product

Indicators have many placement and measuring needs over a great number of applications.These particular points fit some of those needs.

The ruby balls are very crude - not very round and the surfaces are scratched and pitted. Kind of a waste of money. A real tip runs about $20, if you are doing anything critical just spend the money.
