I am so happy with this rack and am considering getting another one. I have 3 boards -one I keep the fins off to practice pop up’s on (but use it occasionally) and the other two in the garage for easy access to paddle out. I bought this for my garage but thinking I like having it in my home, it is attractive.The board in the photo is really heavy but sits nicely in the rack-the angle it rests in is perfect for it to feel stable. The strap is just an extra so it can’t be accidentally knocked over. The pad at the bottom is super thick, and there is another thin runner pad that sits behind (the bottom) the board so it does not rest on wood.

I needed a freestanding vertical solution. Rack works well for my Pau Hana 10'-10" board. I contacted sellers as the upper support padding was missing and the base plate padding was not as pictured, and they responded within hours. The issue was positively and quickly resolved!
