I intend to make boxes with inlays and relief carvings with these blocks and they will need some work but I am very satisfied with the quality of the wood I received and the 8"x8"x3" dimension makes for a big heavy piece of wood. The hue and tint on this Cherry will be very nice after some planing and sanding. Really Like.

I should have used different grain pattern to make a bowl. Getting the end grain smooth was very time consuming. The lumber itself was not at fault, user issue.
