I received two very poor pieces of wood. I had let these is to climatize in my workspace and these then cracked, cupped and warped. I contacted the supplier sent pictures with documentation and they refunded me $13; they wouldn't replace the boards or full refund. I strongly would avoid this seller.

After looking online for Eucalyptus to repair our 8 year old Gardenwood Adirondack chairs and finding inexpensive wood with hideously expensive shipping charges, I settled on 3/4 x 4 x 48 inch mahogany from this Amazon seller. The wood had one edge dent and one small knot but has done a beautiful job of stiffening the frame.

I am refinishing a Les Paul electric guitar. I’m a novice at that so I need to learn how to use finishes and dyes properly. Obviously, I don’t want to be experimenting on my Les Paul so I purchased this because the Les Paul had a maple front.I will learn how to use the finishing products using this purchase before I apply them to the guitar.The only reason I didn’t give everything 5 stars is simply because the price is hard to swallow. I don’t mean it’s expensive compared to similar products offered by others. It’s just VERY expensive to me considering how little lumber there really is here. But I shopped carefully and selected this because it was the best price/quantity I could find.As far as the quality of the mahogany planks are concerned, they are as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen. The quality even exceeds that of my guitar which is saying a lot. I sure hope I can learn how to do a glass-smooth finish on this that matches the original that came with my guitar 18 years agoThe guitar body is mahogany and the top is maple so I purchased some of both for the same reason. That is why the photo shows both the maple and the mahogany.
