I am by no means a carpenter, but decided to make a homemade cubby for our bathroom. A lot of our furniture is walnut, so I got this wood to use on the cubby. The planks are absolutely gorgeous! They have beautiful, natural color, variety, and good graining and the cuts are square and clean, and the boards pretty flat. I have already ordered two more, larger size boards to use in another project! I wasn’t sure how to finish the wood, but I saw other people recommend tung oil, so that’s what I used. I added a picture to show the raw wood versus how it looked with a couple coats of tongue oil on it.

This sellers wood is perfectly flat and straight put right into the mill with zero sanding no bowed pcs awesome wood and results speak for themselves hopefully they get 12 in wide pcs in future !

My intent was to make something of quality with this Walnut. Having received the order earlier than promised, the wood is so beautiful it seems almost a shame to cut it in any way, maybe I should just give it a light sanding and a coat of Tung and hang it on the wall.Both pieces are well matched for color and grain.I plan to buy again from this vendor if this is the standard I can expect.
