I do some drum building for fun. It’s rewarding for me. Ross Percussion hardware is very good quality. Makes my job much easier.

These Ross T-Rods fit my 30 year old Mapex Mars bass drum. The thread size is the old Imperial 7/32â€, not the metric M6x1.0 which many drum sets use. It’s easy to get the wrong size, because a 7/32†threaded shaft (male) will fit M6 female threads (slightly loosely.) But an M6 shaft is slightly thicker in diameter and therefore will not fit 7/32†female threads.The length usually advertised for tension rods is the ‘shaft length’, which does not include the handle. So the overall length is a bit more. This set of Ross T-Rods has a 4.5†shaft length, which fit my old drum set perfectly.These Ross T-Rods are nicely chromed, beautiful designed, and good quality. My only criticism is that they do NOT come with any washers.

These work great at a very good price. They look similar to Ludwig and the threading fits perfect on Ludwig lugs as well.
