High quality connector, actually fits very solidly into a breadboard so you can use it for early stage prototyping. It handles the strain of having a rather heavy MIDI cable plugged in even though its in a breadboard without any issue. I'm using mine in an Arduino based midi controller I'm developing.

If you're creating any MIDI type projects you'll need to have these. These are PCB mount connectors and they're solidly made. Absolutely necessary for your MIDI projects.

These were great so far. The only issue is that the contacts were a little large for my pcb, but that is not a deal breaker. I just chopped of a side and it fit well. Glad you get so many! Gave me a few "test subjects" to try out without worry of total project failure!!

Tight! I found these too tight to fit into my prototype pcb boards. Some contacts measured 1mm wide making fit into the pcb holes. Feet in front have folded over. Inserting the midi cables is also a very tight fit making removal quickly problematic. I would return but won't due to the folded feet.
