Some sponge brushes are deformed and not cut straight. They will work for my purpose.

These brushes are good for what they are. You get a bunch and they have nice foam heads and the handles don’t bend or break during use. I have been using them to apply a waterproof seal to some wood and they have worked well enough for my needs. They paint well and don’t absorb too much product.

I do leatter tooling as a hobby in my spare time. These sponges are great for using with leather dye. I can control how wet the leather gets by squeezing the brush against the side of the cup. They can be used over and over if you rinse them out in between. I have one for each color and I keep track by dipping the handle in the dye so I don't accidently mix colors.

I got these foam brushes about a month ago and have already used several of them. I use them for general paint, stain or oil projects and then toss the out rather than try to clean the well enough for additional uses. While these brushes are OK for general use, I wouldn't use them for anything that required a high gloss or very smooth finish... that's a job for traditional paint brushes in my opinion.For matte or semi-gloss coverings, these work well, and I used one for applying some semi-gloss urethane to some outdoor furniture yesterday. They gave a nice finish.You can wash them in water if you use water-based finishes... your call.

These get the job done. I am not a huge fan of the opening in the handle of these foam paint brushes but after a few attempts at holding them I finally got the hang of not slipping. That being said it is easy to hang these up on a wall hook to dry out and have on hand. The foam is well made and paints smoothly. It absorbs paint well so I don't have to re-dip often. I mainly use these for adding sealants on my art projects. Having a 12pk comes in handy when you need to switch mediums but don't want to wait on cleaning and drying times.

What a bargain buy!! These Bates-Foam Paint Brushes, 3-Inch, 12 Pack are only $6.99!! Bates makes a quality brush and these foam brushes are just that. Being foam, you can just toss them when you finish the job you are working on unless you want to clean them off quickly. At 3 inches wide, they cover a decent amount of space but are small enough to get into corners. Being one piece, I didn't have to worry about the handle breaking away from the brush, either. Getting 12 brushes for the one price was also a positive. I did the jobs I needed to do and had some leftover for future ones!! I love these brushes and highly recommend them!
