Fit my Canon 1000D perfectly. Once you lose your battery cover, your camera cannot be used until its replaced. There is a little piece of plastic that pushes a tiny button next to the battery. For two years I have had a piece of a paperclip jammed into that button with some scotch tape. That worked great until my battery fell out and I lost it. Lesson learned: get a new battery cover!

So yeah you can tell that it isn't canon-made, but for the price it works perfectly on my rebel T1i. Much better than the duct tape and toothpick I had as a temporary replacement. :)
