Shirt was as pictured. We purchased the medium brown for a renaissance costume. The shirt could easily be used for other time periods-themes. My son wore it - he is a size 7/8 in boys. I sized up and the shirt was true to size meaning it was a little big on him but the shirt style is meant to be looser fitting. The elastic at the sleeves kept them up on his wrists and gave the billowy look. The material has a wrinkled look and is thick but not heavy material. The shirt ties are a decent quality and mimic leather.

The perfect fit for the prefect event :) My son didn’t complain of it being itchy or loose or anything. The color is great, and I think it fits him well enough that he may be able to wear it next year!

Finally received my order on 12/1 after order in October. I was thankful I had ordered way in advance for Christmas. I have to say the shirt is beautiful. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and look forward to pairing it with my grandson's Viking Costume for his Christmas gift.

My son is 12 and average build. Normally he wears a size 12 or 12/14, but at the time I ordered the largest size available for delivery (in the timeframe I needed) was a 10/12. So I took a gamble. It is slimmer fitting, as I expected, being a slightly smaller size than I would have preferred. But it still fits well. I'm sure the 12/14 would have fit even better with a little growing room. The stitching is good. The fabric is sturdy, but slightly thin, so I recommend your child wearing an undershirt. Also, I'm not really a fan of the string used to tie the shirt, so I plan on replacing it with braided hemp cord. But that's just my personal preference.
