I bought so I could have my obd afm delete device plugged in while needing to have my emissions done. Worked perfectly for that. I did not permanently install, only using as a temp cord for instances described.

The normal usage for this OBD2 splitter is to have some sort of dongle (e.g. GPS tracker or engine performance monitor) attached to your car while having your normal under-dashboard OBD2 port still readily available. In order to do this, one of the female ends needs to attach to whatever housing your car actually uses. Unfortunately, there are several standards and so there's a possibility that it won't fit.For this particular model, the female ends match the normal connector on my 2012 Ford Focus, but they do not match the connector on my 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. So I'm able to use this splitter on my Focus but not on my Tiguan. For the Tiguan, I had to purchase a VW-specific version that unfortunately costs more.

My OBD port clip broke after connecting car scanner multiple times throughout the years. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 252,000 miles, 3.6L, V6. I am a DIYer and this harness fixed my problem. I connected my broken OBD port (female end) to the new port (male end). The new harness has two female ends. I connected one of the female ends to the holding plate of my car. And the second is left close by as a second OBD port (new option). It worked as expected after I connected to my scanner. The connector is firmly in place. From the photos, you can see which port I decided to insert into my vehicle holding plate. Held it using three zip ties. Called the dealership and they suggested to go to a junk yard and cut the old OBD port from another vehicle. They told me that they never had someone ask for the OBD port. I told them no thank you and immediately searched online for a solution. This part required no cutting and truly is plug and play. I would not use the ones online that required cutting and splicing. Today, I am now whole again. Very happy with the fix. I call it "My Car OBD Port Repair Kit." Plus and Play with no cutting required. Thank you so much.

Have an armytrix exhaust and ecutek, both use the obd2 port. Amrytrix for the exhaust valves, and ecutek for Bluetooth control of the car.Unfortunately only 1 could be plugged in at a time due to the car only having 1 obd2 port.. so I bought this cable and it lets me use both at the same time. Was worth it to let me open the valves on a $7k exhaust while being able to datalog and turn the boost up for 1200awhp shenanigans

worked perfectly…remove your factory port install this in its place, plug the factory end in to it and your mechanic won’t even know and now you have an extra OBDII port to the side to plug any small blue tooth reader under your dash.

Quality of the Cable seems to be Ok, but the harness is very hard, so it takes allot of space around the connector. Its also strange that it uses shrink tube only at one end while 2 other ends have wires exposed
