Arrives rolled up. Unrolled it’s a pretty large bag, should handle several racks of ribs or large roasts easily. It is very lightweight, honestly doesn’t feel like it has a lot of insulation in it. It opens with a zipper to create a clear way to load it with cooked meats. The outside is some kind of butcher paper - as shown in the pictures, it quickly absorbs any moisture on the surface it is placed - initially I thought the bag had leaked when I cleaned it, but on subsequent tests the inside seemed to be water proof as advertised.I tested it with some fairly thick steaks, in which I left digital thermometers. The steaks continued to rise in temperature as expected inside the bag. Outside the bag warmed a bit to the touch, but the meat resting went smoothly and in about 10 minutes the steaks were evenly warm and cooked.Overall seems to work well for the task, cleans up easily and takes up little space to store.

It does help seal in meat juices. So far I’ve just used it on chicken breasts. However, I’m looking forward to using it on briskets once the weather warms up.The one thing I didn’t initially like was that it had a chemical odor. I left it open to air out and remove the smell for a good three weeks before using it. The smell did disappear though. It’s extremely light weight. When Amazon delivered it, my husband and I thought they may have delivered an empty box. Although it’s surprising, I think it’s easier to handle and situate because it’s so light weight.

This BBQ blanket is a must-have for anyone who takes their grilling seriously! The insulated material keeps the meat warm while allowing it to rest, locking in all the juices. It’s easy to use, and the wider design is perfect for larger cuts like brisket, beef, pork shoulders, and turkeys. I love that it’s reusable, making it both eco-friendly and cost-effective. It’s definitely improved the quality of my meats—everything comes out tender and juicy. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to take their BBQ to the next level!

Not as thick as I thought I thought it would be. The outside is also plastic like material not cloth. It is like a very thin insulated cooler. There is also seams in the bag that aren’t done super well. Makes me worried that some meat juices could seep into the other layers.Besides a few issues it is a good size

We are fairly new to smoking meats but have learned that having someplace for the meat to rest is very important. This BBQ blanket seems to be the perfect way to do just that. It unzips and has plenty of room to hold large pieces of meat. Should keep things warm for at least a couple of hours. Was a little concerned about the outside but it seems quite sturdy and the inside should be easy to clean.

This bag will not replace towels and a cooler for extended resting periods. It will however work great for shorter resting periods up to about two hours. Its a lot easier using the bag than having to wash all my old towels every time I smoke a brisket. The outside of the bag feels like it is made from paper and I would have much preferred leather but it is more durable than it feels. The zipper also opens and closes easily and the opening is wide enough to easily place a brisket wrapped in butcher paper inside it.

Truth be told, I have always wanted a meat resting blanket. After grilling, smoking, or roasting, having your perfectly prepared meat "rest" for 15-20 minutes helps seal in and redistribute the juices of the meat to give you a moist, tender result. It really does work and you will immediately notice the difference. With that, what you get here is a large, zippered, insulated bag that, because of the zipper design, is easy to load in large pieces of meat. It does come with a handle on the top for easy carrying, and the zippers to appear of high quality. The outside material is made of Tyvek paper.......it really does have the feel of paper but in reality is made of polyethylene that is breathable and tear resistant. As far as cleaning.....it staes it can be placed in the dishwasher, but I wouldn't. It is easily cleaned by hand with a paper towel dipped in warm soapy water. With its' triple insulation, it definitely kept my ribs and brisket nice and warm. I chose the 21" bag....you really can fit a lot in it. At $26.99 (the cost at the time of this review), it is competitively priced compared to others out there. Definitely worth a try....you'll kick your BBQ up a notch and your guests will never go home.

I just smoked a 15lb. whole packer and used this for the first time. Usually, I would place the wrapped brisket in a cooler and toss a couple of blankets on top. For this test I put the wrapped brisket in the bag, and then the bag in the cooler. I came back a couple of hours and removed it. The brisket was a little hot, around 175 degrees, but that is probably because I closed the lid of the cooler. Next time I will leave the lid open. The bag works as advertised. It is easy to use, and I find great value in it. I like there are a couple of different sizes. I was amazed at how well it worked considering its light weight.
