I was a little skeptical because of there smaller size but they work very well. I added these to camping/hiking fire starting kits I made for my grandkids. Would recommend. they get the job done without being overly bulky.

This item has this 'can opener' design notch out of the side and for some reason I keep trying to use it like a little ratchet wrench.

Works very well with a ferro rod. The tinder scraper works very well with fat wood. The bottle opener is not particularly functional.

Nice big size, easier to use than other smaller scrapers. I bought some large ferro rods that did not come with scrapers, this will work great with them.

It will throw a few sparks but not many.I used it on a batlite ferro rod.Just use the back of your knife or a hacksaw blade
