replaced my old ones on my 2005 pickup bed canopy. these are so easy to install and so stiff and strong....it takes 2 hands to open the canopy window :) I am perfectly fine with that, I like the stronger seal....keeps rain water from going into the canopy now. thank you

These were replacement shocks and installed quickly and easily. I think they work well, but maybe it's just the application, they don't "push" from the closed position as hard as the ones they replaced -- maybe I need 45lb struts, but these were the same as the ones they replaced. Once you "help" get it started, they open and hold it open -- so they're strong enough. It may just be my application, tho.

These are good little cylinders, but the shaft is disproportionally short for correct geometry of lift supports. You will find it challenging to get the exact setup of ball joints(required 10mm, buy separately), as the closed length exceeds the minimum dimension of most 90 degree lids/hatch mounting.
