Many in my family are fair-skinnied and easily sunburn so we try to minimize sun exposure at the beach, and we are beach-lovers, so have a dilemma!. We’ve tried all the usual shade methods-Umbrellas that arent large enough and easily become dislodged dangerous missiles,, EZ-Ups that are a pain to lug around and become a pile of rubble in wind, hats and coverups that don’t shade sufficiently. On a recent beach visit, my red-head son borrowed one from a friend for our outing and I was very impressed by everything about it. So, when I saw this one on Amazon Days at a great price- I bought it and think it’s a smart investment! This canopy is a serious design that is lightweight, it comes in a compact carrying case, the poles and everything about it are sturdy and weigh little, but go together easily. When erected it offers plenty of room for 6-7 people with chairs and their beach paraphernalia. A steady 10-15 knot wind was blowing at the beach the day we first used this. My brother-in-law looked at the tiny canopy carry case and said he thought erecting the canopy would be a waste of time because of the wind. I assured him that the canopy was really sturdy once erected. When we filled the pockets with sand and buried them, he was surprised by how stable and sturdy the canopy was! Oh, I forgot to say that whatever stretchy fabric the canopy is it’s strong and seems to be very durable even though it is lightweight. It gives a bit with the wind. Also, you can make a lean-to of the canopy to provide extra shade if there’s a baby in your family. I amvery happy with this canopy and expect to use it for many seasons.

Absolutely loved this for our beach vacation. Easy for 1 person to set up. Easy take down and packing into the provided carry bag. Withstood high winds from the ocean daily. Highly recommend this product for anybody going on a beach vacation!!

We just finished a week at the beach and enjoyed our canopy. The 10x10 easily provided enough shade for 3-4 people in beach chairs. It is super easy to carry and set up is simple. Best piece of advice: if you are at the beach, go ahead and bury the sand pouches, and bury them good. Unless it is a calm day at the beach, the sand pouches on top of the ground will not be enough to hold the canopy. If you fill them with sand AND dig a hole to bury them, the canopy will withstand a pretty decent wind. You will have to tinker a little with the pole angles to compensate for shifting winds, but that is easy enough. I cannot take much sun, so the canopy allowed me to stay on the beach for hours and enjoy being with my family. We are happy with the purchase.

We make our trips to the beach very frequently and we've tried almost all of the versions out there including the old 4 pole pop up designs which never work out that well. No matter how well you get those setup the wind always ends up showing you who's the boss. This one has so far made it to and back from the beach 4 times and is still good to go. That's a for sure record for us. You see a lot of these on the beach now so I think people are catching on... this IS the design to go with. Setup is super easy, fill your sand bags, spread it out where you want it and stand the poles up under each corner. No mashed fingers or anything. You can make it lean too style with only 2 poles or go with all 4, either way it's great. All put back into it's carry bag is easy too and, it's really lightweight compared to the old pop up type. It works fine with just stakes in your backyard too if you need it. Hopefully I'll never waste money on the 4 pole pop up type again.

quick, easy setup, works great, handles breeze, best on the beach! The carry bag is actually big enough to fit all the parts - that never happens! Poles are good and sturdy, quick "bungee" cord snap-in - setup takes no more than 5 minutes, including filling the sand bags. Make sure you fill the bags outside-out, cuz they have little finger loops that make it super easy to empty them. Sand pours out, no sticking, fold (or just buch it up), toss in the carry bag and go. Again, no more then 5 minutes to break down and pack. We saw lots of other shade systems out there, I wouldn't pick anything over this one regardless of price. (Those expensive, flappy wind-dependent things are nowhere near as good.) Very happy!

I tried my canopy for the first time and I wish I had bought one years ago. Very easy to set up and take down. Fits back in bag easily and I hauled it in my suitcase since it was only 8 pounds. After a short while I learned how to adjust for optimal shade. I was concerned about it having problems in the wind but with 8 sand bags I had no problems and it was very windy one of the days.

8.5 lbs without the stakes and little shovels. Packed easily into luggage. We put our family in the shade in Hawaii. It stood up in the afternoon breezes and allowed rest in the shade. We probably had 8 people under the shade at one time. It was stretchy so would give and stretch in the wind which were I think 15-20 mph. Easy to fill with sand and we just made a pile of sand to keep the bags from slipping. It was super easy and quick to set up. Truly able to be an easy one person job. i HAD THOUGHT THAT EVEN IFI had thought that even if it came apart it would be worth the $100 for the trip. It was so much better and more stable than umbrellas. I figured that it would just be used for a travel shade but now I am thinking of taking it with me when we camp because it is so light and easy. RECOMMEND.

Here we are under the canopy at the beach. It is a nice size— easily shading two love seats and our other beach items. It is easy to carry and set up and take down, even for one person doing it alone. I am most happy with that aspect of this product. The lycra feels a little flimsy, but it held up quite nicely in strong beach winds. Other beach tents that have only two or four tie-downs are less steady. I have also set it up with stakes in the yard and that is a nice option to have when there is no sand around to anchor with. Recommend!
