We enjoy a week at the beach every year, and the old aluminum frame tent is just a pain. Heavy, and eventually blows over.I read the reviews for several tents of this style, and the other reviews prompted me to give it a try. We were very satisfied. The whole tent package is easy to carry in the included bag, and is fairly light. My wife could easily carry it herself, and after watching a couple times, she put it up easily a few days. I don't say this because she's a lady, but because she sometimes struggles with pain in her joints, and she did this with no issues. The tent is well designed, and even under a strong wind, held up with little issue. It was in great shape after daily use for over a week, and the two bag system on each corner was much better than the single bag tents I saw up and down the beach.I bought this for less than renting one of the high-end tents for a week, and I get to use it again next year. The poles held up, the tent provided great shade, and it packed away quickly and lightly for the journey home. I'd recommend, and would definitely buy again if needed.

My family and I love the beach, but I prefer the shade, a cool breeze, and a cool beverage when we're planning to stay for a full day. This canopy works great, is easy to set up, and can be adjusted based on the sun's location during the day. The fact that this canopy has 8 stabilizer legs (2 on each corner) sets it apart from those with only 4 stabilizer legs (1 on each corner) and allows it to be more stable in brisk winds. We have used it without issue in steady winds up to 25 mph. Just lay and stretch it out on the beach, fill up the eight sand bags, lift the canopy and insert the 4 expandable poles, and adjust to stabilize. If it's really windy, the sandbag ends can be buried to provide even more stability. The whole product packs up in a small duffle bag for easy transport. We will never again bother with umbrellas that only provide shade for two people (at most) and blow over in light winds. Money well spent.

We got this to take on our annual beach trip. We used it six days in a row in the NC Outer Banks and it was amazing. We have used big metal frame tents for years and this was far superior.Easy, fast setup. Small, light weight carry bag.As long as you fill the bags completely and stretch the legs out fully, it is very stable. One day we had very high wind and we had to completely bury the bags but once we did it held up fine.It is shorter than metal frame tents so you crouch a bit walking under but it is plenty high enough to sit comfortably in any chairs.

I purchased this to use at sporting events for my kids during the long hot summer of the south west. Shelter is an important thing in this area and so having something easy to put up and take down is essential. As we used this primarily on concrete and grass areas, we used portable water bottles that we filled up at the venues to weigh down the bags to secure the canopy. This worked well as an alternative for us where sand wasnt available and it was easy to dispose of afterwards. It was quick to set up, provided plenty of shade from the sun while having the sides open to allow any breeze to pass through. It comes in an easy to carry bag and is ideal when you want something lightweight to take with you.

Pros:-Easy to set up-Holds up well in strong wind-Used six days straight and it didn't rip or break-Is high enough above ground to accommodate full height chairsCons:-Near impossible to set up alone in high wind-Provides little protection from uv raysIf you're looking for something to protect your fair skinned friends this isn't it. When looking at the shade under this tent as compared to others on the beach I noticed this shade wasn't as dark as all the others. My most burn prone companion had to cut the day short as he was burning while sitting under this tent, however I quite enjoyed being able to tan a little in the shade. If you're looking for uv protection spend more on another brand. The shade under the others of this same style was darker.

I just spent 10 days using this product on Eagle Beach in Aruba, there are always gentle tradewinds in Aruba but we also had some seriously gusty winds. On my first use I did not bury the 8 bag anchors and I didn't pull the material very taught - that was a mistake. When the winds picked up the anchor bags simply dragged across the top of the sand, ultimately causing the tent to collapse.I then pulled the material very taught (don't worry, you won't rip it), dug holes for the anchor bags, dropped them in and buried them. Once that was done the tent held up to even the gustiest of winds! Having 8 anchor bags vs. the usual 4 really helps a lot as well, there were several of these tents on Eagle Beach and the ones with 8 anchors held up much better than the ones with 4 anchors when the wind picked up.I was impressed with the quality of everything provided, the poles are lightweight but sturdy and have a bungee through the center to keep the pieces organized in the travel bag - one end is pointed for easy insertion into sand/soil and the top has a foam ball which the tent fabric wraps around (held in place with a locking bungee). The tent material is super lightweight and folds back into the travel bag easily (note: it's like a fitted sheet, I wouldn't waste time trying to neatly "fold" it, just pile it in!). The whole thing including the tent, poles, bungees, 2 shovels and anchor kit (for grass, not sand) all fit nicely in the small travel bag provided and weigh less than 9.5 pounds - I actually put this in one of my checked bags when flying down and back to Aruba. These are becoming increasingly popular on beaches, and I've seen a variety of them - some work well, others do not. This one definitely does work well, just remember pull the material very taught (it won't tear) and bury the anchor bags a few inches down or they'll just drag across the sand.
