This review is for the Giyim Microfiber Beach Towels.I ordered these expecting beach towels. These are more like beach blankets. If they were advertised as beach blankets, it would be 5 stars. However, they were sold as “Beach Towel[s] for Swimming Pool, Camping, Yoga, Travel.†Well, I bought them for pool use. I have a pool and can never have too many towels for parties! So when they arrived and were a very thin material, I had to do a double take. Had I just misread?They say they are super absorbent. I’ve never had much experience with microfiber other than cleaning my glasses. So I figured with my pool closed, the best test I could offer was using them after a shower. So I did just that. I was impressed. I can see why microfiber towels have not replaced bathroom towels. It’s not exactly a nice plush experience. Though I will say, they are absorbent. Not something you’d drag over your skin so much as something you’d dab with or wrap yourself in. And once one area is saturated, you have to use a different part of the towel. That said, these towels are plenty large to have enough area for a thorough drying even with long hair.That said, I won’t be using these are pool towels. Which is a shame. I needed more pool towels. However, these certainly have a place. I’m going to toss one in my car. They do fold up nicely. There’s an attached strap to hold them in a nice roll and a little travel carry bag. So perfect for the car! These would make a great beach or picnic blanket! I’m tossing it in the car for those times when you need a towel in the car. You’ve been there – somehow or another your either soaking wet or muddy or absolutely covered in filth and don’t want to ruin your cat seats. This would be perfect for that and not take up much space either!I might keep the other around to use as a blanket to throw on the deck or beside the pool to sit on.So minus one star for not being a towel. But 4 stars for being a great blanket.

I recently purchased the Giyim Oversized Beach Towel 2-Pack in the turtle and flower prints, and I’m pretty happy with them overall. Each towel measures 71 inches long by 39 inches wide, which is definitely roomy enough for lounging—especially for me at 5'2". I love that the design on the front is vibrant (even more so than in the Amazon photos) and that both towels share the same vibrant striped pattern on the reverse. They each come with a convenient little nylon pouch for storage, plus an elastic loop sewn to the side of the towel to secure them when rolled or folded.As for texture, they’re quite thin but also extremely soft. Because of their lightweight material, I don’t anticipate any sand clinging to them, which is perfect since I plan to bring these on a kayak trip to the beach. Since they're so thin, they're conveniently small when folded, and light enough to take with me. Rather than using them strictly as towels, I’ll be laying them down to sit on to keep sand off me and my beach stuff. The only downside for me is the price: at $29 for the two-pack, it’s a bit higher than what I’d normally pay. I feel $20 would be a better value. Still, if you’re looking for bright, comfortable, and easily portable beach towels that double as mats, these might be worth the splurge.
