I ordered this for my four year old grandson. He loves building with the small square magnets and tiles so I wanted to try other types of building with him to see what else he might like. He quickly picked up on how they work and enjoyed putting his car together. The only problem he had was when he took the car was finished and he wanted to build his own things. He made Thor’s hammer; it was impossible for him and very difficult for me to get apart. They snap apart and go together extremely easy as long as they are not put together in a closed box. If all four sides are together you will need to use the included plastic rod to get them apart. It is hard enough to pull that first one loose that we have bent the plastic rod. Everyone in the family enjoyed the set. I like that once they snap together you can move them back and forth. We will be buying more, definitely recommend for anyone that enjoys building.

These are so neat! While the kit I got is specifically purposed to make a car, the pieces are actually really open ended. You can build just about anything your mind can imagine. I like the bright mix of colors and that the pieces are not too terribly hard to connect. Would make a great STEM bin in an elementary school classroom.

This was opened by a 4 year-old who loves all kinds of vehicles and wheels. He was excited by the colors and all the various parts, but without adult help he was unable to get started. Once someone showed him how the connectors worked he was fine, but lost interest quickly. I think it would be better suited to 6+

This is a fun building set for aspiring builders. The set includes enough pieces to build a variety of items but this set specifically builds a car. The pieces are easy to connect and the instructions are helpful and clear. I don't think the pieces are as durable as other building sets, but I think they'll stand up to a lot of manipulation. The cost is pretty good as well considering you can imagine lots of different things with the pieces.

This is a very interesting building set. The pieces are larger than I expected, and made with a thick sturdy plastic. These seem more complicated than legos because they fit together a little differently, but I would think it’s suitable for ages 6 and up, depending on the kid. My four year old understood how to put pieces together just for the fun of it, but couldn’t understand the directions in order to build the car. My 9 year old seemed to have no trouble with it, but my 12 year old seemed to enjoy it the most. He’s always enjoyed building things and has tons of Lego and building sets. My 9 year old enjoys them, but nowhere to the extend that my 12 year old does. They thought it was fun working with materials that were different than they were used to. They also enjoyed getting creative and finding other things to build with these pieces. They took the car apart before I could get a picture of it, and then they built a man out of the pieces. My 12 year old’s only critique was that the instructions should give you more ideas of what to make, since they only show you how to make the car. But he had no trouble building his own imaginative creations.

I already ordered the 136-piece set, and assembled a large tower for my grandkids, just to show them how it works. These building blocks are for 4 to 12 years old kids, so obviously, it pretty difficult for toddlers. I taught them how to connect two pieces by snapping 2 rabbit ears into the gap. It needs some hand strength, and they can handle it. The advantage of BEBLOX building blocks is its solid coupling. Nevertheless, my grandson managed to tear down the large tower I built for them, and it is an accomplishment too.The excuse he took apart the tower was that he needed more pieces. So, I ordered this 80-piece set, and I built a car for them, but not exactly like the one on the packing box, is it a racing car? I think that for toddlers a bus or truck type of cars is more adequate.My grandkids have played magnetic building blocks for a while, as they are stay on their play table, and it the time for a change. Now, I will try to teach them use the BEBLOX building blocks step by step. How long will it take?

This is a nice gift because it's versatile enough to appeal to a wide age range. The pieces are easy enough for smaller hands but the construction is interesting enough for older kids. You can follow the instructions for the car or design your own creation. Easier to work with than legos, in my opinion.
