I hate to see American pieces on a foreign when the OEM parts are just as easily available, especially when the replacement was not even the right part. Caveman that had replaced this poor cars broken part last time used a 6 point not for this vehicle nut and just decided he was going to go to town with the impact. Needless to say I had to replace the cv axle as well after I found this little catastrophe 🤦. Why do bad mechanics happen to good cars. Anyway, after that tedious little project, this bad boy slid on like the first time you rolled that baby catcher on your Jimmy… getting off topic. Anyway 10/10 would recommend!!!ðŸ‘

They didn't disappoint with the fit, form, or function of this axle nut. Bought it for my 2001 Jetta 1.8T when I replaced a rear wheel bearing. Not much more to be said.

The VW official service manual (Bentley) says always replace these. They are self-locking. A normal 12-point socket wrench (19mm if I remember correctly, but look it up) fits this nut. Beck Arnley is a well-known replacement part maker.
