It was quick and easy to swap out the defective backup lamp switch which is located on the Passenger Side near the front of the Manual Transmission housing. This was easy to troubleshoot as we had no backup lights when the transmission was in Reverse. With the vehicle running and Parking break set, Removed the two pin connector from the original backup lamp switch and put a jumper wire (Paper clip) into both contacts in the plug - both backup lights illuminated - Problem Solved!

I bought this based on some post on ih8mud. I was having a problem with my center diff lock on my 2005 LX470. A-TRAC not engaging, CDL not properly disengaging, and some error code. The location on the transfer case is a pain to work on but doable. I need to also get a 27mm wrench and the entire job took me about 45min. Took the truck out for a quick drive where I could engage the CDL. Everything worked and no more error code.

Fixed no reverse lights, after having tested the circuit entirely, found there is no fuse, but rather a switch that fails. Easy to install!

Lost my backup lights, did the paper clip in the switch connector text, verified the backup lights went on, bought this new switch, installed in less than 10 minutes, backup lights are back. No its not a Toyota part, but for my 91 Toyota pickup, it will be fine. Came with washer also. Easy peasy.

Easy to install and works great! My reverse lights and installed rear cam weren't coming on so I figured this might be the trick! Sure as anything, it was!!! Awesome deal for the price and a whole 5 minutes to pop the old one out and the new one in!
