Replacing a 30 yr old OEM part and this one works better than I recall the original ever did. I don't know if the other reviewer got a bad one or something, but mine works perfectly. Has smooth action and the spring is not weak at all.

Fits on the column like it should but the key fit is sloppy and has a weak spring action to it from the START position.
