I bought a kit from the popular vintage VW company and the pins were too short--no matter what I did I could not get the hats onto them over the shoe retainer springs. This kit solved my issue, I will only buy this for my 1964 Bug in the future.

the provided pins are about 1/4" shorter than the originals so I had to reuse my old rusty ones to get my brakes back together, the rest of the hardware kit was very nice though.
