There's nothing exciting about doing your oil furnace tune ups. Prices seemed reasonable and it's nice to be able to get this stuff through Amazon. That wasn't always the case. I wasn't in a hurry but these showed up in a reasonable amount of time. Quality products.

I undertook a rebuild of my 12 year old Beckett AF-15 burner on my oil burning furnace after having hard starting and lock out issues. Among the parts that looked worse for the wear were the electrodes. I found replacements on Amazon at a reasonable price, got good delivery and they are working fine. Not cheap versions, these appear OEM quality and I expect long service from them. Changing the electrodes is easy, you just need to have the adjustment specifications for your particular burner, since these fit many different models. If you still have the factory sticker information on your burner, use it as the most reliable source. I also recommend you watch all the how-to videos on you tube if you are not experienced in this area. One final comment - a good strong spark is needed, but the most frequent source of problems (other than air in the pump), is dirty oil having deposited microscopic debris in the fine channels inside the burner tip. After I cleaned out everything (easy off oven cleaner or any sodium hydroxide strong cleaner dissolves the coke, soot and blackened crud), and installed a second filter (1 at the tank, 1 right before the pump) I finally quit clogging nozzle tips - good thing, because it was 18 degrees this morning... Good luck with your repairs!

First of all, this is the real deal, genuine Beckett parts. Parts arrived quickly, and fit perfectly. Even came with a setting gauge, which came in handy, for sure. If you are not sure how to set the electrodes, there are some videos on YouTube that are very helpful. I was not sure what was causing my hard start, as it is very hard to tell if your electrodes are just a bit dirty, or something much worse, which is arcing to ground, instead of jumping the gap properly. I set this up per Beckett instructions, and a bit of advice from YouTube, and now my furnace lights INSTANTLY. Super happy with these, and will buy again, the gauge is a nice touch, and the price is outstanding.

I bought this electrode to replace burnt out one. I had to cut the ends off since I needed the shorter ones but I could not find any on Amazon. It took me 2 minutes to cut the rods and an other 2 to install them. They work good and the furnace did not misfire since. The gauge is easy to use and should be used to adjust the ends. If you know what you are doing at least a little you can use this with no problem.

Parts came in Zip lock baggy, loose, parts rattling and banging around, not rapped for ant type of protection...Then thrown in a plain brown 8x10 envelope. Porcelain was chipped up and cracked. No factory instructions included that dose and will be included with a real Beckett, kit. That explains the different furnaces and adjustments to be made in detail. Beware.
