Beduan Series hose barb reducer fitting is made of forged brass and connects two hoses.
This reducer hose barb fitting has barbed ends to create a tight seal on a hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule(not included)
Made of forged brass for greater strength than cast brass.

I thought a 5/8 to 3/8 barbed fitting would be easy to find but I was wrong. The local box stores didn't carry this size which I needed to extend my water softener drain line and works perfectly. Reasonably priced for a brass fitting that arrived in 1 day. This is what I love about Amazon - hard to find products that are quality, fairly priced and fast delivery,

The tolerance on this is decent. They don't center the mill when working on these but it's acceptable for chinese manufacturing. The runoff on the calipers was about .002 on the diameter of each end. There is .33" difference between the OD of the barb and valley with the OD of the hose somewhere in between those two, these will grip well. I bought several other brands and returned them, I would buy this again.5/16 OD .3355/16 valley .3003/8 OD .3953/8 valley .362

I bought 1/2 inch to 1/4 reducer. 1/2 inch works with no problem but the 1/4 side is not correct. I used 3/8 hose instead. I am lucky that I have both 3/8 and 1/4 hose so it is not a problem for me. The reducer is good quality but I wish the size is correct.

I only needed a 3/8 to 5/16 reducer so ordered this. All I got was one reducer despite the picture showing two reducers and 4 clamps. Well, I got what I needed so I'm not complaining. Just be aware of what exactly you are ordering.
