At first I was disappointed that this unit wasn't smaller. I guess I thought it was round. I thought it was more of a miniature appliance. But no, it is oblong and full size. The pieces take up a certain amount of space in the cabinet and it is a lot of plastic. I wish it came in a smaller version.However the space in the bins allows you to spread out the food pieces on a single level with space. This is probably the most efficient way for it to work. And it works great! Of course I could steam food in a pot. But I don't. This cooker is much more fun to use than a pot because you can see your food inside and you can see the steam. On a cold winter day, the steam increases the humidity in the kitchen.So far I have learned that fresh foods taste better. This can steam frozen foods but I like the flavor better in the fresh foods. It does a great job with carrots and sweet potatoes, seeming to steam them faster than my old metal pot.This is the least expensive appliance I've ever purchased so I worried the quality might be poor. However it is a simple machine and seems good enough quality for the job. I like that there is a drip tray. I like that there hasn't been any weird problems going on, as I read about in certain other steamers. I learned it is easiest to set this on the counter next to the sink for easy filling of water, and then easier clean-up when it is finished. The plastic bins nest inside each other when I put it in the cabinet for storage.The booklet comes with a chart about cooking times for different vegetables. It depends how you cut them. So far my food choices steam perfectly in about 22 minutes.

Amazing product. The only thing i can say bad is the layers don't connect confidently so you have to be careful. It can be easily knocked over.Other than that im happy.

The worst thing I've ever bought. Ordered on November 30th. I used it 10 times and it stopped turning on. I do not advise anyone to buy.

Use it practically every day. Love the way it cooks my chicken and veggies at the same time. Haven't actually tried the third layer. Only use two layers. But it make my food so moist. Never eat dry chicken again. Easy clean up! I am so bad a cooking and this makes everything so easy for me! A must buy!

Je suis très content de ce produit! C'est la première fois que j'utilise un cuiseur- vapeur, mais c'est très facile à utiliser, je prépare le repas, et je peux séparer les légumes des viandes ainsi que le riz, et c'est prêt en même temps! Je le recommande, je vais bientôt en acheter un autre pour ma mère.
