My Father and Mother lived in a portion of my state that was loaded with small towns. Most of the towns had shops that specialized in antiques. My parents came home with a spatula that they had picked up at one of these stores, hard handle, heavy steel, great feel and worked well on coated pots and pans. I was given the spatula by my parents because every time I came to visit it became my duty to cook for them. I always had my family with me so the old style farm meals were diverse and large. The spatula cut the job easily. When we moved one time the spatula got lost and I was not a happy cooker.When I found the Bellemain Stainless Steel Spatula | Heavy Duty Spatula Turner, Beveled Edges, Hardwood Handle. I was anxious to pick one up. I have been cooking with it since it has arrived and it has worked tremendously.I have used it on my pots and pans and so far not a mark nor scratch. It is very comfortable to work with, has a great feel in the hand, and I am looking forward to trying it on the BBQ, My antique spatula did not have the beveled edges, and I am very pleased to the ones on the Bellemain. It aids in flipping eggs, meat, oven work, mixing, and bread work in the pan like pancakes, bannock, and fry bread.This spatula has all of the earmarks of it's predecessors that made them so durable that made it possible for them to last for years of great performance.The price for the piece is well worth the expenditure. 10 years from now you will be glad you spent it.

Wow, this spatula is the real deal! My $2 cheapie spatula from Walmart broke and I wanted to find something a little sturdier. This one is solid! It’s larger than I would have liked, but I cannot complain as the quality of better than I have seen anywhere! I LOVE a good wooden handle. The steel is thick with a nice sharp bevel. It works great for flipping tots/fries, roasted potatoes and veggies on steel cooking sheets. Extremely great value and love it! I will probably die before this does.

It is quite thick and substantial but the edges are beveled and sharp enough to be useful but blunt enough to be safe. It does not Bend or bow.

I doubt these will last very long. They are wobbly, uncomfortable (the wood is like scratchy) and the metal part wiggles and shifts. Not professional quality. Won't purchase again.
