I’ve been using these rasps for quite some time now and have been extremely happy with them. The last rasp I purchased somehow literally broke into two pieces the first day I was using it. Unfortunately Amazon says this is a non returnable item so I am stuck with it!!! I am trying to turn it into a mini rasp for ponies and such….until then I’ll lick my wounds and carry on….this was definitely a freak thing so feel confident in purchasing this item!! Good luck!!

No sleeve with name of rasp, no paperwork, just a cheap rasp wrapped in bubble wrap. No surface on rasp, doesn’t do a good job. No returns either. Shouldn’t have purchased

I have used many makes and models of rasps in the last 15 years but I keep coming back to the Bellota Classic. They are extremely sharp out of the box and stay sharp enough to keep woodworkers happy for years once I'm finished with them. The course side removes material quickly and the fine side creates a smooth finish. I have used the Bellota Classic extensively on hoof, polyurethane repair materials, hot metal, plastic and wood with great results. If the rasp clogs use a brass brush to quickly remove the offending material without damaging the edge.

This rasp did not have a good surface to work with, will not buy again. I buy rasp's at the feed stores now, something I can see in person.
