Installation Method:
-1. Open the hatch and remove the sun visor.
-2. Loosen the screws to remove the side panels.
-3. Loosen the screws to remove the rear hatch panel.
-4. Locate the entire wiper motor assembly.
-5. Unplug the yellow wire and remove the wiper motor.
-6. Loosen the wiper blade from above. Install our new cover over the wiper hole.

Aluminum material is great. Fit on my 2011 Subaru outback rear window. Don't tighten too much unless you want a cracked glass. I slowly tightened the nut while holding the threaded rod with an Allen key until I could no longer wiggle the plug within the hole.

Unfortunately this does not fit the hole in the window of a mini cooper R50 or R53 even though amazon says it will fit. It will EASILY shatter your back window without much tightening down at all. I'm incredibly bummed! Now I've got to spend a whole bunch if money to get the window replaced!

I bought this before i took the car apart to see what i needed i had to use a peice of rubber, large washer, and silicone if you have the same car and are looking to do this to it look for either a plug that is flat on the inside or just get a rubber one i would have spent the extra money if i knew it was gonna be as difficult as it was GTI owners should not buy this product but instead look for others it looks good after a 20 min job turned into a hour long job
