  • Our lathe is 830 mm long x 330 mm wide x 430 mm high and is portable, but big enough, to satisfy the needs of beginners to advanced users.
  • The exceptional 1HP AC motor that is perfectly paired with an inverter that maintains a higher and more consistent output torque which is not found on most of the competitive models in today’s market This is especially effective when running at speeds as low as 30RPM and maintaining the output torque of the spindle at or near 100% which is beneficial for users who need to work at low speeds to make certain projects.
  • The Midi Lathe has three speed ranges (30-800, 150-1,700, and 350-3,700 RPM) which can be easily changed with a quick release lever on the motor to release belt tension. The spindle speed can conveniently be viewed on the front window of the lathe’s digital display.
  • Even though this is a bench top lathe, Wahuda uses a 1’’ diameter toolrest which is a common size used on medium and large lathes which allows it to be able to use many of the different toolrests on the market.

It looks like a nice lathe well built. When I get my spare parts and get my shaft in, I will let you know. It was not the company’s fault. It was the shipper’s fault that the shaft was bent.

First let me say that I am comparing this lathe to a 75+ year old lathe that I’ve been using for the last 5 years. The improvement is dramatic just in speed control alone. Then when you factor in the ability to reverse and the ease of adjusting the tail stock and tool rest there simply is no comparison. This is a rock solid lathe and even though I’ve only done a couple bowls as of yet, I am highly impressed.

The number one thing for me was tech support and that has been extremely good. Thanks for that ! I wouldn't have needed it but it was super anyway and more than expected ! I did have a very few minor issues that were easy to fix, but that's par for the course. I really like the induction motor and associated VFD since that is very smooth and controllable. The magnetic-based ON/OFF & Speed controller box can be placed anywhere (I'm right handed :-). It came with a 1-1/4" spindle thread, which some people don't like but I like the beefier spindle. This was just delivered (ahead of time) so I haven't had much time on it yet. I have nothing negative to say except that the "W" fell off; no biggie; it just now says "ahuda" :-) which means friendship.

Shipping was awesome. Lathe is quiet, but has a 1hp motor. So far I have turned a vase and 2 bowls, with nothing but “Likes”. Get one a try it, you wont be disappointed.

Had to go online to get a manual, but after a few fits and starts I have an excellent 14" lathe with reverse.
