Who doesn't love an 8 ball.. Ball works like a charm. Was able to use this on a stubborn case. Worth every penny.

Excellent grip, came fully inflated, and has a good squeeze to it. Doubles as a great stress ball when trying to place a second hand! Why cheap out on a case ball when a quality one like this is so affordable?

I purchased this item after watching the jeweler open the back of my watch to change the battery. I was amazed that he was able to remove the watch case back using only the BERGEON ball. No chance of scratching the case or case back like other case back wrenches can and often do. A must for anyone that want to do their own watch Maintenace.

Bought it with the intention of opening a polygonal caseback. Sadly the ball failed to provide enough grip to open the watch.The ball is well made and incorporates a valve for refilling its air content. Grip is provided by the nature of the material , not by a coating or finish. Therefore I anticipate that its performance should not degrade with use.If your caseback is not very tight, or you just need a quick tool to finish the openning process, give this a try. If you are looking for a tool to open tight casebacks with strange shapes or fluted perimeters, you might be better served with other tools.

After gouging an old (thankfully not precious) quartz watch to change the battery, I thought there had to be a better way for a non-expert to open a watch!It's the 8008 to the rescue. When I first received the ball (in a crushed box, thanks to Amazon's habit of shipping boxes in envelopes!) it was pretty weakly inflated. In this state, it simply could not be coaxed to open a watch. After inflating it to a reasonably firm state (with the standard needle valve), it works like a charm. So that is the only gotcha about this great product. Buy it, make sure it is pretty firm, and enjoy not scratching your screw-back watches with metal tools.

My Omega Seamaster developed an easily fixed issue, IF you can get the back off.With this, I was able to get the back off and fix the problem.Does what it says it will do, can't really ask much more.
