They fit perfectly true to size. I wore a belt with them to be safe. Waist was comfortable and stretchy. Had plenty of pocket space. They looked phenomenal. Read other reviews about the zipper having problems but didn't see anything wrong with it. They took a beating at a festival and held up great.

I loke the shorts in general but the belt loops and far between and very thin. if you try to carry anything on your belt they do not support well..Also they do run a size larger. I bout several pairs 36" waist and 34" would fit alot better.Thin material too not the rugged type cargo shorts.

I haven't worn shorts since the 1990's. I didn't even own any shorts until I bought these. I have two pairs of and have only worn them a few times each. I'm a little, past middle age guy. My waist size in two different brands on old blue jeans is a 31 and they fit perfect in the waist without a belt. I also have recently purchased a couple pairs of a different brand of cargo shorts and the size 30 waist in those fits me perfectly. The size 30 in these Best South pants are large. I would say probably 2 sizes. I'm betting that a size 28 waist in these would fit me. Unfortunately, they don't make them any smaller than 30. Point being, these run large in the waist. So, I wear a belt. I love the style of these and I haven't had any quality issues as of yet but I think it's a safe bet that these aren't going to last anywhere as long as my old blue jeans. I plan on continuing to machine wash them on a delicate cycle and dry them in the dryer, (despite the tag). And whatever happens, happens. Time will tell how long these last. There is one "red flag" to speak of ... both pairs have the loosest, cheapest looking button closure (rivet / hammer style) that one can imagine. I think I'm going to buy a set of replacements. The buttons just look doomed to fall apart.Bottom line ... fit is a little large, button closure is clearly cheap. Style I like and no quality problems so far. One star off for the cheap button and sizing and maybe just the feeling that these probably aren't all that durable. I'll update as appropriate.

I have bought 4 pair since June if 2024, they fit well and are super comfortable but have very poor quality. I statrted with 2 pair and got two more after both of the originals tore in the exact same spot. I was thinking it might have been just a bad run because I’ve worked with clothing previously but now that all 4 pair have tore in the same spot within 90 days I have to speak up. The crotch stitching tears extremely fast. All of my shirts have broke apart in the exact same spot on the seen that connects the 4way of the crotch. I initially got a size larger because I was worried about them not fitting since clothes are not made the same as 29 years ago but they ripped at the stitching in less than 90 days. I got 2 more pair hoping it was just bad luck and wouldn’t have the same issue again until a few weeks ago and the others tore. I know have 4 pair of shorts I actually enjoyed until the moment of tearing. I know how to sew and tried to repair them but the material is to thin and ripped again in less than a week if stitching back. Patching is not an option because they should not be tearing in the crotch this fast but mainly because I don’t our that kind of stress in them to cause the rips.I say again, these are absolutely comfortable but have not lasted more than 90 days out of 4 pair. Keep that in mind if you hug them, I want more simply based on comfort and look but due to the rips and not being able to fix I can’t justify buying again. 90 days max?? This is something I would expect after two years minimum with daily wear but here we are….But at your own risk and don’t day you weren’t warned unlike I was. If they could give me some type of protection or guarantee I would gladly buy more but until then I can’t recommend these products.

Great shorts , but they run a tad large , I’m a solid 32, and had to exchange for size 30.Other than that , love these cargo shorts

The pros: They fit really well for the size I picked, they weren't restricting in any way, I like the look of them, The color is nice, and the pockets are convenient.The cons: After wearing them for a total of 2 times, the button holding them on ripped away from the fabric when pulling them up after using the restroom and in the same day when lifting my leg up to get into my Jeep the back ripped open. I returned the pair and am now waiting for a replacement though after seeing similar reviews I'm starting to regret not opting for the refund instead. If the new pair ends up the same I'll update this review if possible.

Material lightweight but strong... Perfect for hot summer days, plenty of pockets. True to size, loose fit, comfortable, wash well. Would buy again!
