I've had this inverter for over 9 years now, taken it on multiple cross country trips, including ones that have involved car camping where this was our only source of 110 AC power for days at a time. I originally bought it after such a trip where we found the 1 amp USB slots that were factory-installed in our SUV didn't put out enough juice to recharge my wife's iPad while she used it, or even get it to a full charge in a reasonable amount of time when she wasn't using it. Since then this inverter has powered laptops, portable DVD players, iPads, and phones, often all at the same time, while providing steady power and not overheating, thanks to its built-in fan. I think the few people who have had problems with this are either trying to use it with devices that draw too many amps, and/or their car's electrical system is limited and not designed for such an inverter (see further explanation below. So my advice is:1. Stick to the devices it (and your car's electrical system) were designed to provide power for, and avoid amp-hungry appliances like power tools and coffee makers I've seen mentioned in the low reviews (SMH).2. Check the specifications of your car's electrical system and its output from its cigarette lighter outlets before you buy this inverter, and before you jump to blaming this inverter when things go wrong.Car cigarette lighters are practically never designed to be on a circuit all by themselves, and depending on the car model the cigarette lighter could be on the same circuit only with low-draw components like dashboard lights and overhead interior lights (many of which would not necessarily even draw current at the same time that often), or it could be on the same circuit as a high-draw component like, say, your car's air conditioning system. That is going to make a big difference as to how much additional load that circuit your cigarette lighter is able to handle, and thus will affect what you can plug into the inverter.I personally have used this in a 2011 Toyota Venza, 2011 Chevy Malibu, 2017 Mazda 6, and a rental in 2016 that was either a Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon, and again, never had any issues in any of these cars, but other vehicles (including newer generations of these same models) may have the issues I mentioned above.

Bought for charging batteries in a bucket truck, works great, seemingly well built with 2 outlets a usb and type c charger. Fairly priced in comparison to other options, would recommend.

Works Like a charm, can charge my laptop, steam deck and both my girlfriend's phone and mine. Perfect for traveling the distance but wanting a faster charge then just through the normal car port

Using this in a 2006 Dodge Caravan, got tired of messing with the radio that keeps resetting every time I start the car so put my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX certified speakers in my van. Speaker only use 2 amps, 200 watts. It works and there’s no hum or noise coming through the speakers. I am completely satisfied now that I can turn up the volume and jam.

Living in the middle of nowhere, I use battery powered lights from DeWalt for the time being, use this to plug in the charger during my drives to town. Worked flawlessly for weeks, but now it eats fuses. I swap a new one, charge starts up, but I suspect the adapter took a knock somewhere along the way jarring something loose which I may have to insulate/re solder, there's obviously a short in the unit somewhere now. Glad Amazon carries 10amp mini fuses by 60 for less than 4 out of Canadian tire. Good unit, useful and does the intended job, but treat it gently.*UPDATE*I was wrong,this unit works flawlessly,I now believe the issue was caused by a DeWalt battery charger. I am not an electrical engineer, but suspect that at times the battery in charger sends juice back to the outlet which sends that back to the car system and blows fuses. Not certain, but makes the most sense to a layman like myself. Running a 120w charger for my necessities has no issues with fuses at all. I would think this unit would have some protection for such behavior,but then again, I would rather pop the hood to swap a fuse than disassemble this unit. This unit does exactly what is promised, and I do apologize for any confusion I may have caused. Sturdy unit, would buy again.

Used it a few times when camping to watch movies on my laptop. The third time i used it we've noticed a weird smell of plastic burning and found out that it was the inverter's plug! Btw the laptop was the only thing connected to it at the time and its a simple laptop, not a high end gamer's one or anything special..Also, the mini fan on the inverter is pretty noisy too.Very disappointed with this product

I bought this August 16 received by August 24 2024 …. Stopped working Oct 19 2024…. In that time I used it less 10 times. Flashes red, green for no reason. Very frustrating would not recommend as it’s not reliable. Left it off for a whole week as soon as it plugged in it continued to not work.UPDATE:Got a replacement from their customer service who was excellent just sent them a video of the issue and they quickly sent me out a replacement! So for the customer service and the product( once it works, it works well) I’ll highly recommend this company!
