This is nice clear vinyl. It is easy to install even tho it will stick to itself but it stays where you put it once on the sofa. It's strong to avoid rips or tears. It is the perfect protection needed for kids. I would be leery of long dog nails but it is thick and may hold up to it but I would exercise caution of heavy dogs with nails or any sharp objects in back pockets. This will hold up to normal use quite well because of its quality and it certainly waterproofs. Pet hair wipes right off. You can tell you are sitting on plastic if you are in shorts but that is expected as it is plastic. The dimensions listed are on target.

I foster dogs and wanted something that would protect the loveseat from the animals. This cover is thick and feels durable even with dogs jumping on and off the couch. However it is short so doesn't fully cover the sides to the ground. I was hoping to use it to keep any dogs from marking it but it only covers about three quarters of the way down the side. It also wrinkles easily so doesn't look good when it is constantly being moved around and pulled on when the dogs jump on and off the couch.

Ordered this to replace my previous plastic couch cover. I immediately noticed it is a thinner plastic than what I previously had, but it serves its purpose, so I kept the 5 star rating. It's thin and "moldable", fitting easily around my overstuffed love seat. It fits width, depth, and height perfectly. I only use this at night to keep the cats off the furniture directly while we sleep, and it stays on without issue. There was a "plasticy" smell upon opening from package, but after a couple days of use, it wore off (it did not linger on couch either). Folds up easily during the day for storage. It's only been a couple weeks, but With the constant folding and unfolding for nightly use, I'm hoping it's durable enough to last awhile.
