The adapter did not work for my particular use case, but this was not a fault with the adapter. It was a problem with the BIOS in my G5 Mini when running a Linux.-based OS. The adapter worked perfectly in Windows, but would not pass audio to the monitor in Linux. The seller (BestPartsCom) was very responsive and helpful, and ultimately offered a full refund on the item.

This worked fine for my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Workstation Tower running windows 10. Installed and power on and recognized my 3rd monitor. Did not come with the tiny screws though.

Got a "mystery box" elitedesk 800 g4 with the DP i/o card...on a box with 2 native displayport outputs. It's not difficult to install, though you might want to youtube it.

I recently picked up a 1L mini PC, the HP ELITE DESK 800 G3 and found it only came equipped with Display Port video outputs. I did a little research, found this item and ordered it from here. You simply turn off and unplug the computer from power, punch out the metal tab in the back of the mini PC and remove the 2.5" drive tray, (or remove the additional Display Port circuit board and replace it with this one) then set this in and push it towards the back panel and then press down until it clicks in place.I am happy to report that this unit included the two screws necessary to secure tiny circuit board in place. I then hooked up my monitor via HDMI and plugged the computer back in and turned it on and it works perfectly. No other adjustment or configuration is necessary. Don't worry that the connector on the bottom of the board is half the length of the connector on the computer. That is designed for different add-ons that require more connections and this simple HDMI connection only requires one of the connectors.This is a genuine HP product with all the HP documentation and packaging. Highly recommended!!!

I recently purchased 2 HP Prodesk 400 G5 SFF PCs to use on TVs in my house, and preferred HDMI over the Display port to HDMI adapters.These plug straight into the display expansion port, and all I had to do was pop out the case plate cover. These came with the 2.5mm screws needed, so installation was super easy.Would buy again.

No matter what I tried I could not get this think to work. Even swapped in a HP 400 & 600 with HDMI port and it didn't work there. Def. will be returning this.

The item works as designed, and is for the most part plug and play. I use Linux, but found that user for both Linux and Windows have instances of the same issue. The HDMI output is not necessarily selected automatically by the host operating system. A quick search will direct you to the steps to tell your operating system which output to use. For reference, I use Linux Mint. Once the audio is redirected, the product works flawlessly.

Funciona perfecto en mi cpu hp. Lo compre porque mi cpu solo tenÃa salidas display port y tenÃa un monitor conectado mediante un adaptador. Con este puerto HDMI solo tuve que sustituir el puerto VGA y listo. Fácil de colocar y sin necesidad de instalar ningún programa.
