These rings have a very smooth finish. The radius on both the ID & the OD are very even, no flat spots, etc. I haven't used them for a vehicle recovery yet. But I have used them along with a Weyth Scott power puller to get some big trees leaning in the direction I wanted them to fall before I made the final cut. The rings worked smoothly.I do have a huge complaint with Amazon about this order. I ordered these rings (2) along with a few soft shackles. It took Amazon ten days to ship this order. Both products were in stock & the same location. I understand that I am not a Prime member & I always choose free shipping, so Amazon probably views me as a second class customer. But to sit on an order for ten days? That is un-sat Amazon.Assuming equal price & availability, I will be using Ebay from now on. I have received products from China faster than I received this Amazon order.

Seems to be very well-made, but when I took it out of its packaging, I found that is has a couple of nicks & scratches on it that will need to be filed/sanded smooth before use to avoid possibly damaging my soft shackle.

This thing looks and works wonderfully!You can use it for a few different things... I've been using it with a strap and a soft shackle, basically using it as a snatch block for my winch, and it works every bit as good as a pulley!I'm dragging big logs out of the woods so I can cut them up, and this is working perfectly!It's super smooth, so it rolls on a poly soft shackle every bit as good as a bearing pulley.When I'm done with My tree work, this is going in My RZR's rescue kit.Such a simple, but useful little donut!I love it!

Very nice good quality, the only think I found is there were 3 spots that were little nicks a quick swipe with a microfile ans they were gone. Great item. Highly recommend!
