My mom is 92 years old. She was having trouble with her hands getting stif. She's now been doing these rugs for about 6 months and her hands have gotten so much better and her mind is better.

5 stars on how easy it is as a beginner, this is my first ever latch hook kit. 5 stars on the amount of yarn you get, I got way more than enough! It also turned out so pretty, too. But... 1 star for how HORRIBLY the yarn and grid smelled! It smelled like straight fish! It was super intense at first, but I sprayed perfume on the grid and that helped a lot with the majority of the smell. The rest of it aired out over the days since I wasn't able to work on it for 2 weeks. Some of the yarn pieces were inconsistently sized, but it's nothing you can't work with, so I didn't mind it. Make sure to tighten your loops after fully hooking them, or else they will unloop on their own lol. Learned that the hard way. Super cute, would be a nice toilet rug, it's the perfect size for that. It has a non-slip backing, so it's not ideal for carpet, but I'm still gonna keep it in my room lol!

I am loving this kit. I haven't done one of these in over 25 years. It's just as I remember. The pattern does differentiate slightly from the Key but not much, for the most part it is correct. Some of the other reviews are funny and clearly people have the education of a toddler. The yarn colors aren't the same as the color on the unit. If they were you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. That is what the legend is for at the bottom of the instructions. Love it.... more than halfway done.

I got this to do and give it as a gift to my niece. Used to do it more when I was younger but I thought this would be awesome that she could have something as she grows up that I made for her.It gives the gift a good amount of 'a personal touch' because you have to spend time with it. Very Nice

While I haven't done this yet, and I've done tons of latch hook kits, this is the first time ever what's on the yarn doesn't match the paper key. I've got numbers on yarn that don't correspond at all! So now I have to guess what colors go to which letter on the key. Super frustrating and a weird mistake on the manufacturer's end.Edited to add: finished the product with not enough reds, so had to compensate and make my own design. Definitely hanging on to leftover yarn for future products. But I think it turned out okay.

This is by far the absolute worst latch hook I have ever purchased and I purchase alot. The yarn packages are not labeled. Some have a small tag on them but they do not correspond with the chart. There is also not enough of specific colors to finish this. I am trying to mix and match from previous latch hook kits. No consistency in length of yarn.I would send this back if I could.

This kit was a pleasure to make... All the materials were there... Plenty of wool and the instructions easy to follow..My first time making a latch rug and would definitely recommend..😃😃

Was so excited to receive this, my first ever Amazon purchase. Arrived on time yippee. Opened it up; what the fudge??! The rug hook is made of cheap plastic and I will be shocked if it is able to last the duration of completing the project. The mesh used for the hooking is flimsy and thin. If I am even able to finish the project, which I suspect it will end up pulled out of shape and/or the hook will fall apart before a large part is done, I will add a review of the finished product.
