I absolutely LOVE these special Cordon Bleu baking dishes...The perfect size and shape and composition...I had purchased one of these dishes somewhere in the past that I could not remember where I had bought it.. and found myself using the one dish constantly for so many thingsWhen I went looking for more.... at multiple brick and mortar stores I could not find the exact item and was terribly disappointedI found what I though was the exact dish here but was again disappointed when the order arrived and I found the dishes were not the right size ... height and diameter were wrong ...FINALLY found these PERFECT baking dishes... which were lableled "soufle" dishes... not custard cups or whatever I had originally been calling them in my search criteriaSO PLEASED to have found these beautiful baking SOUFLE dishes!!!

Amazon took care of it (since it was sold by a third party but fulfilled by Amazon), but the souffle dish itself was poor quality -- flaws in the glazing. The single sample I have looks to be a factory second or third. Avoid.

This is a simple, classic design; easy to clean, and the ceramic did not stain with the dark chocolate.

I should have read the description more carefully. This souffle dish will hold 10 oz of liquid up to the rim. However, filling it to the transition level only holds 8 oz of souffle ingredients. It is an 8 oz souffle dish with a 10 oz fluid capacity. I have 8 oz souffle dishes but wanted a bit larger size to make souffles. I am very disappointed. Although, the description does say 10 oz capacity. I did give it three stars because I do like the dishes for usefulness and design.
