The caliper is strong and feel solid. However, the ends of the caliper that are used for the measurement were not properly lined up. I had to bend a bit the prongs to they are now properly aligned. I also needed to file the ends so they were touching each other perfectly. Poor quality control, I assume...If you are willing to do these small adjustments, it works well after that.

I used this product as was intended however I found that the ends of the caliper were not ground professionallyand couldn't be used for fine measurement. They were flat ground and had sharp edges. I re-ground the ends so they worked properly and did not scratch the item being measured .DJK

nice caliper, keeps its adjustment well , I use it when turning wood.One drawback though it came in a package fully oiled, and I get why they do that, but it's truly not a great first contact with a tool

Poor quality control on this one. If your handy with a hammer you will have to flatten the arms so the ends will meet up.
