Just used this yesterday to level my deck, was simple and knocked that job out in no time. Heavy and durable especially in the condition it came in. Not the sellers fault every clasp on the case was broken and the attachments were everywhere. Judging by the condition of the box it went through hell in transit. Overall a great purchase in my opinion.

I bought this item from Amazon Warehouse as Condition: Used - Like New - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged. The item did not come in the original package. It came in a much larger box with no packaging. The Blow Mold Carrying case was damaged on the hinge side, had all four of the plastic latches broken, and all the parts strewn about. I would have sent it back but I needed to use it that day. I have noticed more and more that Amazon Warehouse is not accurate with what they say. I would give them a 1 for shipping and packaging.Despite the shipping, The BIG RED T70401S Torin Portable Hydraulic Ram: Auto Body Frame Repair Kit survived! It works very well despite the shipping. All the pieces fit together well to give you the adjustment you need. The ram worked well with little pumping effort. The Blow Mold Carrying case did not fare as well. All of the latches were broken and the corner of the hinge side was broken. I had to reinforce with some aluminum and pop rivets. The kit is heavy so I'm not sure the case would be a durable long-lasting case. For the 2 dollar difference in price, I would have bought new. I was just trying to be earth-friendly and buy a used tool. Not Again! Amazon Warehouse is on my S list.

This little guy did what I needed it to. The case is a bit clumsy to close without the hose getting in the way and the paint will flake off the attachments. For the price and performance I care not. This is a very good buy. If you are working with thick steel, you may consider the heavier model as 4 ton is for somewhat light duty. In most cases, you probably won't be straightening a frame with a 4 ton. The spreading tool straightened out my axle mount just fine though.

The package, still unopened by me, had definitely been shaken and not stirred. But this tool is supposed to undertake more demanding tasks than being dropped. Am sure in its life, there will be an unprepared drop as the pressure is released without a blanket under it to soften its fall.1. Packaging: The contents had definitely fallen out of the cardboard box. The manual was missing, the orange plug was outside the tools case and inside the package, one of the latches was open (as if someone poured everything back in and could not close the second latch), and the same Amazon tape that failed that failed the first time had been used again to secure the bottom of the cardboard box.2. Tool: BigRed is (or used to be) a reliable brand name. Although the paint on the ram and some of the attachments were all scraped up, assumedly from the fall in point 1 above, seemed cosmetic. No manual, okay, not a show stopped. Proceed to attach the pump to the ram, no dice. The pump lever falls by its own weight, strange. First time user of the tool, give it the benefit of the doubt. All you can do is check for hydraulic oil, which is there. Still filled it up to just below the screw level as a just in case. Still no dice. Next step, air purge. BigRed/Torin do not even have this model listed on their website, so no manual. As a desperate attempt left the pump raised over a foot above the end of the hose over night to vacate air from the hose. Cant purge air if oil flows out of the end of the hose without pumping. What a massive waste of my time ordering this thing.Do not know the root cause. DOA from factory or Amazon drop.Amazon on its part has redeemed itself with hassle free return.

Worked perfectly for straightening out my bent driveway gate. No leaks that I noticed and everything worked as expected. Didn’t require much time to figure out. Storage case seems study and each item has its own place, aside from the handle.
