The winch works very well! I use it with a pulley to raise my 70lbs bike to the ceiling in the garage. My only complaints are that the end of the steel cable got really frayed, but I just coated it in some quickset epoxy to bundle it back together and prevent further fraying. I think it would also be great if the rachet lock had a longer lever to make it easier to switch direction

I ordered 2 of these cranks to hang deer feeders. After a little use they both failed to hold the feeders. I had to insert a bolt through the spool to stop the crank from releasing. But there was a funny side a bear was fooling.with the crank and it let go. I guess it must have given him a good whipping because he run right.by the feeder when he left without touching it. He's probably missing a few teeth. That's the reason I gave them only one star.
