I don't need a full set of allen wrenches for my bicycles because this set are the most common sizes when working on bicycle disc brake calipers, threaded brake pad stems, brake support posts, chain ring fasteners, quill stem bolts, and brake controls/thumb shifters. Good for those hard to reach places like the frame bottle cage attachment, inner chain ring fasteners, or disc brake caliper inner adjustment fastener. These came fast and as advertised. I own 2 other sets of standard size allen wrenches but these make me happiest in those hard to reach places when wrenching on my bicycles, motorcycles and cars. Life is good when working with the right tools.

The metal isn't very hard. As long as you're not loosening really tight bolts you'll be fine, if those bolts are tight they will smooth out and start slipping.
