I was getting ready to buy a “SmartRack†which is a triangle without the base line or piece. It still requires touching the balls for a good rack. I came across this one and knew it was the best to be found. Got it today and tested it out. Works perfectly. No touching of billiard balls. Pure genius.Edit: After using for awhile, it no longer makes a tight rack. I keep adding tape inside the rack to make tighter, but it doesn’t do the trick. It needs to be made with sturdier material and make sure there’s no space between balls. I’m about to give up and buy a Predator Aero Rack, even though it’s $100.

Bought it figured it would be better. But didn’t make it any easier than a normal rack .its hard to get a proper tension on the set seem to not have a proper ball contact. I will keep my wooden rack.

This is a good concept and probably would work well if the materials weren't so cheap. When I purchased this rack I was expecting a little heavier duty material, especially for the $40 price tag. The triangle is made of cheap flimsy plastic that you would get from a generic pool hall plastic rack ( an $6 dollar one) The hinges and the bar on the back are made of the same cheap plastic. The flip back bar has an aluminum or some sort of weighted material to secure the balls together. But it also flexes which makes things problematic also. I believe that this item was made of a very heavy duty plastic or even aluminum like a Delta 13 it would work great and be worth the money. You're paying for a design here not an actual quality triangle. I plan on keeping this triangle and using it to see how long it lasts. To the people who make this triangle you really need heavier duty injection molded plastic or if you change it all over to aluminum you probably could justify 60 to 75 dollars for it.

Great idea, but it doesn’t rack them any tighter than a cheaper wood rack.

This rack works exactly as advertised. It does a very good job of racking 2 1/4 inch pool balls. Prior to purchasing this item I read a lot of the reviews and noticed that some people complained that the rack has become sloppy over time. As with any item that has moving parts that are also part of the structural integrity of the object, it must be handled with a reasonable amount of care. Handled properly I am sure this will give many years of service.I highly recommend this pool rack.
