WHO IS THIS BOARD FOR?
Our 41 Inch board 'The Bruce' is generally best suited for someone weighing between 60-100lbs. Wood Skimboards are a great way to start your skimboarding journey. As you get more practice, you can then look at purchasing a fibreglass board for more wave riding.
HOW DO YOU USE A SKIMBOARD?
Skimboards are designed to skim along the shallow water at the edge of the beach using your own energy. Generally, people add wax to the board so that they don't slip off. Our board comes with EVA grip (and a board bag!) so there's no need for any extras.
As you see a wave rolling back from the shoreline, get a running start. While running, toss the skimboard in front of you. Step on top of the board with the front foot in the middle, and the back foot towards the back of the board. Try to skim along the waters edge carefully, maintaining balance. Check out our video to get the idea.
Practice getting off the board while it is in motion. Don't give up! Like anything worthwhile, it takes time to master your skimboarding sills!

We live at the beach in the summer with three boys (8, 7 and 5). They always saw kids on skim boards so when it came time for a birthday we had to get one. I looked on Amazon for hours trying to figure out which is best. I came across Bindi Australia and fell in love with the brand. The owner Brooke, like myself, has a passion for getting kids of electronics and out into the real world. After some comparison shopping I went with this board and I’m glad i did. The board is such high quality, and it comes with a bag to carry it to and from the beach. We’ve had this board for an entire summer and it took quite the beating between my boys, but it held up just fine. Love this small company so much we’ve gotten a few other things from them for our beach babes and haven’t been disappointed yet. In a world where it is so easy to support a Walmart or big company, Bindi Australia made is super easy to fall in love with a small one!

My kids absolutely loved this board! It was a hit with all the teens and younger kids. Super durable board and will probably buy a couple more to avoid arguments on who gets to use it next! The only disappointing thing as the bag it came with. The bag ripped at the seams right open after our first beach day. Would love to have a durable case for this nice board. Other than that, you shouldn’t be persuaded not to buy this. The board is awesome! Buy it!

Great value, great size, great quality, I’ve had this long board for a long time and it has still stayed in good condition and it’s a good size for everyone to use it’s definitely really fun to use and the grip on the top works great it’s perfect for fun on the beach.

This board has a really nice shape that makes it easier to use than other types. It is wider so it holds to the ground without easily slipping out from under your feet. I like that you can have fun on it without feeling like you are going to get hurt.

I have been skim boarding for roughly 2 years now, and I started out with one of those crappy $20 boards you can get at any beachside store. I just recently purchased this and loved it. The grip pad made it a lot easier to get on the board and to land tricks, and the frame design is solid. The carrier bag was really nice because skim boards can be sort of a hassle to carry. I would definitely recommend buying this board, and I would advise you keep it in good condition, rather than just throwing it up on the top shelf of your garage.The customer service is also immaculate; very very nice people. They offer a free warranty which is super reassuring for when you travel with the board. Amazing board in all!

I bought "Bruce" for my 14-year old son, who has never been on a skim board. This Bindy Board is perfect for what he needed-lightweight, easy to learn on and carry. We don't live near the beach but go a few times a year, so a big plus was that this board is not super expensive for "sometimes" use. Our 10-year-old daughter tried it out as well and we ended up having to get one for her as well, same reasons. Customer service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend this product!

I got this board on a whim after seeing people skim boarding years ago. I love it because it is a great beach activity even when the water is cold since you realky only need to be ankle deep.The board has a nice grippy material on the top and the nose is slightly curved up, unlike some other skim boards, so it makes it easier to throw along the top of the water. The bag is an added bonus because it makes carrying it to the beach a breeze!

Great board, purchased this for my 6 year old grandson, think he may be a bit too young g for it but he loved it!!
