I used these on the back of some threaded rod I had to use in a spot where I couldn't get bolts in. These things work great, they are easy to handle, threaded well (some items like this don't always thread on very well), and look to be very long lasting. I got stainless steel because they are for outdoor use, but I think they're going to hold and look really well. (not that it really matters, as they are behind wood, next to a wall.)

I have been using fasteners all my life. I could not tell these from the ones that cost nearly 6 bucks a piece at most large retailers. What else can one say.

5 stars for product quality ... minus 3 stars for poor shipping.Product was shipped in a large, bubble-wrap envelope with adhesive missing at the top in an area ¾-inch long. The manufacturer packaged their product inside a plastic box that was taped shut, but the box was broken inside flimsy packaging. Acorn nuts fell out of the broken plastic container, and 1 acorn nut fell out of the ¾-inch long hole at the top of the Amazon Prime envelope.USPS crushed the manufacturer's plastic box, but UPS or FedEx would've damaged it also. Shippers stack packages and treat them roughly, so sellers cushion products inside cardboard boxes. It is wise to save money on shipping containers, but customers feel like their satisfaction doesn't matter when products are missing or damaged.The missing acorn nut cost 16 cents, so it isn't the money ... it's feeling disrespected.I engineered and am creating a sophisticated part for a John Deere tractor. I need 10 acorn nuts but ordered 60. I received 59 acorn nuts, so I'm OK because I have 49 more than required. If you need exactly 60 acorn nuts, order directly from the manufacturer.

I don’t know if all stainless steel inserts are this tough but I could not get these to crush. I firsth tried with a nuts a bolt and some washers and got super frustrated. Then bought a proper tool and it still didn’t work. Got some Standard steel ones and they worked. So maybe it’s me so I can’t give one star. They seem like ok stainless and are relatively well made.
