** UPDATE May 2024 I thought I would only get one use out of these, but the first one I sent through in the dishwasher on the very top rack survived unscathed. I'll be reusing these inoculation loops since I'm not doing clinical work.***These are perfect for one time use applications of small amounts. Because of the material, these would not be good for pressure cooking to reuse.I would not use these for setting up cultures or with regulated testing, but they would be fine for non medical gram stains after opening the bag.

Very reasonably priced, less than $.50 apiece. However, they don't come individually wrapped so once you've opened the package and are planning to store the leftovers, their sterility may be compromised. On the other hands, for school projects and other informal experiments, this isn't a big deal.
