I wanted a frame to dress up the back of the car. There's something about a a naked license plate that looks off without a frame of some sort. This product fits my need- it looks good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I don't mind having to remove the frame yearly to put a new registration sticker- I guess that is the cost for having a frame in general.

The frame is fine, it doesn’t cover up the stickers or text on a standard CA plate. But know that it is just a flat plastic rectangle, which is to say that there is no plastic edge that rolls up and over the metal edge of your license plate. The plate doesn’t like sit down ‘inside’ the frame, but rather the frame just sort of is aligned on top of the metal plate.

They are very attractive and sparkle.We had to cut the top between the bolt holes because it hid the state name on the tag. Also it's a little big and the bottom clips did not hold the license in place so we had to glue it tight.

I got these to replace the awful dealership plate frames. These are similar quality to the dealership frames and simply fit on-top of the plate (they don't wrap around). The carbon fibre pattern is just printed on and looks alright (definitely not great, nobody will mistake these for real carbon fibre). I didn't use the included hardware so can't speak to that as it wasn't the correct thread pattern. Fits BC plates well now that registration stickers are no longer required (but if you have stickers required near the bottom of the plate these will likely block the sticker partially).
